Went to La Jolla and as usual I'm on the hunt for Yellowtail. With the signs in the last few weeks, I'm not the only one that thinks it could bust open at any time. There are good signs and mostly, I haven't seen it this slow before. Made bait and after launching with no beach and some larger sets. I managed to time it perfect and never even got my sleeves wet while staging for a break in the sets. searched for bait and finally made a good number in a similar area to where I spent most of the rest of the day fishing, That area just had the more constant bait and larger fish marks on the FF. There's always next trip.

The hunt continues......wow, no beach? Erosion problem or just a super high tide? Beautiful conditions on the water, Looking forward to seeing your future success. :reeling::wsb::yt:

During the winter we get higher tides and at low tide there'll be 100 or more yards of beach. Yesterday's launch was at almost high tide and the water was as high up the beach as it got all day. It just means staging and launching at the end of the street instead of driving onto the sand.
