Now that our Vermillion Sub limit is even less, 2 fish per person, it makes me wonder whether we will get regulated out of this precious fishery, and also makes me appreciate those fish that make there way home like these two did. Enjoy them while you still can. Nice to get some good sea surface conditions, too.

Good job on a quick "limit" Sully LOL :cheers1:
The damn Reds are everywhere :reel: can't get away from em.
I must have released at least 10 Reds on the last trip. I'm using a metal basket with 80' of rope as a descender since its easier to descend two or more fish that way, the bigger fish (cow cod) get the commercial adjustable descender device and more weight.
Highlight of the last trip was this big Starry :luxhello:
I hope DFW gets their Data correct on the Reds and adjusts the limit back to at least 4 fish.

Nice Party Style Descender Jim, you should patent that, then the little critters get company on the way down, which probably improves the experience. Nice Starry, the business end on that fish is huge!

It is so slow on here, I am glad to see your post. LOL, much easier to get a 2 fish limit. Atleast we can still fish for them #cowcod.
