Paddled out mainly to make bug bait at about 5ish, made some decent bait and some huge, huge, huge macks!! Paddled on out and had quite the lightning show with some good amount of wind thrown in just for that extra fun!! Had one bait get ripped and nothing else, landed at 830ish without much problem with close interval thumpers...not much to report really other than that the water temp has turned to 64 degrees and its definitely starting to feel like winter!!
Good luck to those who head on out!!
Macs don't work...try trout. I will take them dang macs off your hands for ya, will figure out something to do with them...

I launched around 1 p.m. in tiny surf, went north and loaded up on tiny greenies, caught a couple Leopard sharks fishing for Halibut (again ), and headed to the point for more large Bonita (5 lb-7 lb) than you could possibly want. I didn't bring the sonar, but according to the finger test it was around 66.5 degrees :), with 10' of vis at the half, and 15' of vis past the 3/4, with very light wind and a mixed swell. On a positive note, there was a ripping downhill current in the afternoon. I think I'm using large greenies for bait tomorrow;).

The macs were so big on sunday at the pier that they broke three of my bait rigs.
