Sandy Days

I got the chance to fish for 3.5 hours today...
(waaaaayy up north....Malibu)
I almost didn't go due the lack available time,
but since the weather predictions for the
next several days looks like
crappola...I figured a couple hours is better than none...
REALLY glad I went...
there's always time for a new PB...
My personal best sandy was 6 lbs 13 oz...
the record has officially been broken....
7.5 lbs on the boga...(wish I'd a had a digital)

this big guy was the first drop of the day...
gotta love a big 'ol grumpy sandbass...
it was pretty much WFO...
and on a variety of lures...no bait or stinky stuff needed...
strictly artificials...
all total, I got about 20 nice fish today in about 3.5 hours...
I regretfully left them biting....
most fish were in the 2 .5 to 3.5 lb range...
only three were under 2 lbs...
this was the average critter

what a day...
all fish were happily released to bite another day...
I sure hope the weather allows at least
one day this weekend to fish...

Hogs! I think its easy to judge a sandies weight by looking at how absurdly large their lips are in comparison to their body. I'm gonna say the one in the last pic weighed exactly 4.76 lbs. :cool:

BTW, big props to Josh for being one of the only smart guys out there that usually is wearing his PFD, and has pics to prove it. :notworthy:
