just thought i would post (late) my first big fish off the kayak. too bad it's not a yellow but a very substantial size black sea bass. it was released in good condition. what an amazing creature!

Nice release for sure!! Good job on getting that guy revived and happily swimming away. I look at catching BSB's as almost a right of passage of sorts...here's hoping that color changes for into something a little bit more yellow next time!:cheers1:

Good job on the healthy release, Jason. If anything, chalk it up to a great exercise in the pursuit of Yellowtail. Now you know that skinny Tarpon 16 can handle any size fish.

That Fish produced a double sleigh ride.
I caught up to Jason and hooked my heel into the rear well of his kayak, then shot Pics as he towed the both of us out to sea.

Great work on getting that amazing fish back to where he belongs...
Just a word for thought. Think about all those others who are out there who keep everything. Please relase more and keep only what you can eat!
