Is there any Yellows in Dana Point? Or do you have to drive to LJ? How is the launching from LJ? My first & biggest yellow was around 30lbs. I caught it San Quitin, Baja. It was off a panga. Now I want to catch one off my kayak.

Alright AT. You've been indulged. Almost everything you think you are breaking ground with and asking has been covered in various forums especially this one. If you spent a little time either a) searching or b) paddling it would all fall into place. Not trying to be a dick, just pointing out there is a welth of info from others that have had the same questions when starting out.

Yes you can catch yt off Dana Point. Summer schoolie yellows generally move up the coast with the warming water. SB and Morro Bay yakers have their shots, even. Occasionally the OR albacore fleet even picks them up. Late Summer, start watching for them.

Thanks man. I don't look at all the other forums. I'm at work when I look at the site. Once I get home I stay away from the computer.

My friend is on vacation right now. I'll ask him when he gets back. If we do go, it will be on a Sunday. I work Monday - Saturday. I'll let you know.
