here is the letter from the redondo mayor that you should attach

and below are the attachments to the two map designs around Pt Vicente

Dear City Council Members,
The Marine Life Protection Act (MLPA) mandates the establishment of NO TAKE Marine Protection Areas (MPA’s) throughout the state of California in an effort to increase fish populations.
Full definition summary is found here

http://www.dfg.ca.gov/mlpa/background.asp

Palos Verdes represents a geographic area that is very desirable for MPA development as it is home to many diverse marine habitats worthy of protection.

Recent proposals have been made to close the northern section of Palos Verdes including Rocky Point, Malaga Cove and beyond to all future fishing activities!

Proposals to close these vital areas will have a significant impact upon the local south bay economy

The Redondo Beach City Council has recently taken a strong position against the establishment of marine reserves north of Pt. Vicente

As a resident of __________, I would ask that the city council place this item on the agenda for the august meeting

The timeline for establishing an opinion before the MLPA becomes law is mid October!

Enclosed is the letter from the Mayor of Redondo Beach
