Last week I lost two butts. One, cause my knot broke
and the other, was at color when the big boy decided
to let go of my big jack smelt. Very empty feeling driving
home, I didn't even talk to myself...

Yesterday, I couldn't stay out of the area, hell bent on
payback. Who needs yellowtail and wsb when the halibut
are busy ripping you off? Thank God for my FishnDive.

This butt weighed in at just under 31lbs.
Dinner pics to come, as soon as I find a
big enough frying pan.

That's a nice Butt Yani. On the gaff and into the hatch, quick and easy.

Your feet are like another pair of hands, no wonder you dont wear shoes. I thought you were going to get bit for sure when you were pushing on its head.

A classic examlpe of how to get hurt!

Please keep the camera rolling, Yani. :D

I'm betting we get some serious injury, Gwar type, bloody as hell, injured human footage soon. I was on the edge of my seat watching that video, a few times.

A win is a win, though :cheers1:

I'd like to make a suggestion for the next video: sticking your hand in the gills of a pissed off, still green 50 lb WSB.

Nice! & nice Penn - Jigmaster or 209? Old School

it appears to be a 112, 3/0 senator. old school style, with the thin cross bars. funny, because that's the first thing I noticed too. caught many tuna on my dad's old 3/0 and even older 2/0. you know, those reels killed tons of fish long before the machined aluminum, lever drag, gadgetry. and on fiberglass rods too!! and no spectra or flourocarbon.

maybe that explains why now there's no fish left in the oceans :D:D:D:D

Josh has got it right, that was a scary sight watching you slide that beast into the hatch. Congratulations on following through and nailing that big boy.

Congrats Yani! I'm amazed at how effortlessly you cleared the deck and popped the tennis ball off with your feet. It definitely looked like that hali wanted to take a chomp at your groin...haha!
