Rigging for la jolla

I've been out to la jolla a couple of times so far but mostly just getting the workout and the nerve to get out further and then some fishing . I still have not caught anything but bait and kelp. I was wondering how most ppl rig when fishing in la jolla for wsb or yellow tail even rockfish or other stuff?
