Wind is light no white-caps. Swell is much smaller. 6 or more Yaks in the kelp now. I would head-out if it were not my B-day with reservations at the Marine Room for tonight. If you are coming with fish this evening please paddle by the Marine Room and show-off or at least hold up your hands to show me how long your fish is. I plan to head-out on Thursday afternoon.
Good Luck,
Kurtfish

don't know whether i should consider it really thoughtful of you to update us in real time of the good conditions, or cruel to remind me that it's so nice when I can't go.
but seriously, thanks for posting real-time reports!

Slow am. Stiff onshore this morning. When we landed this morning at 1030 the surf was still mixed up with 2-3ft sets. Looking at the cam it looks like it died off a bit... okay a lot. Swell was mixed up on the outside, tons of bait, but no big fish. I hooked three threshers, but that was it.
Happy Birthday!

For those that can go out soon --- Today, Wednesday, and Thursday will
be super FLAT with easy launch through 1-footers. Winds light
becoming 10 knots in the afternoons.

Every time I've fished the day after a full moon I got skunked.
Of course that also happens during every other moon phase!
I'm going to try it on Thursday, hopefully the yellows will be hungry after all this wind.

Kurtfish, I would like to wish you a happy B-day. I am about three thousand miles away at the moment had have just had my daily ration of rum punch. No fish here that I can see but the restaurants have plenty of Mahi, Waho and some kind of tuna. For those who may be interested, St. Lucia is a really nice place to chill.
Even though I cannot take advantage of the stockbrokers view of our fishiing grounds at the moment, I think that your periodic posts are a great resource. Please keep it up.
