Should work great !
Constuctive criticism: turn the rack so the light stick is behind your
seat so you can get to the light if needed.

Aren't strobe lights only for emergency use?

Aren't strobe lights only for emergency use?
i believe so... the first one (C-Light personal light) is USCG approved and has a solid white light seen up to two miles

I am going to be building some sort of pvc rack too.Its times like this (Hooping)I am glad my kayak is a Winnebego(Big Game).I am switching to conicals.I have 3 ambush nets and 3 flat promars and 2 old danielsons.I am going to get my crap all set this week.Only prob is I have no bait.Ranch 99 has salmon heads for 1.99 but thats pricey.I may use that and cat food.
I went with ambush over eclipse style because they are still 32" diameter.36 just seems too huge.

Sweet setup... I've never used anything but a single pole light stuck in the rear rod holder (through the hoop netting) to hold the nets but they do shift around some in nasty conditions. I might have to do something like this.
Looking forward to the season just around the corner!
For bait, get out there and catch some big macks while they are still around! Go for some bycatch YT/WSB/HB while you are there! Or stop by John's Fish Market in DP, they have big boxes of macks or salmon heads on the cheap (if you have the freezer space).
