first time hoopin last night

launched at 8:30 at la jolla. conditions were good. Really small waves at the launch and it was so calm by the point that it was like a late. Had fun with the bioilluminesence or however the hell you spell it. We could see all these fish darting around and it was just amazing. We went out in kayaks with 1 hoop net each and caught a lot of shorts but no legals. Landed at 12. Saw 2 other kayakers out there and they got 1 legal and a whole crap load of shorts.

Going out off LaJolla tonight. It's great when the water's like that, even if the bigger bugs don't show. Did I really say that?

yea we are plannin to get more nets. anyone selling nets for about 15-20 each?
