Hey I think we met last night. I was on a green x-13 and my brother in law was on a blue x-factor. It was nice chatting with you and your buddy.

10-4. Same spot. It was pretty productive the past two weekends but yesterday was nasty, one meezly spider crab. The water was pretty nasty and dirty, wind would die down then all of a sudden pick up again. I pulled at least seven sets of five nets each, not even a shorty!! I got skunked but my buddy got a keeper.

Yeah, that was us. Did you end up with just the one keeper?

You think eating bugs out of LBC is ok? I mean cuz of lack of water movement, boats, etc. Just curious because IF I ever catch anything worth keeping out of there wondered about safety.

That's pretty funny....no offense.
If you think there's no water movement you should have been there last night, current was really strong. I've been hoopnetting for the last six seasons, at least 50% of my catches came from Long Beach......I'm still living.

No offense taken! I live there and usually surf fish there, and have yakked offshore there but with the breakwaters the water movement there compared to other area beaches... well you know. And I pull out more rubber gloves, plastic stuff etc. from LBC than other beaches.
And you're still living but did you always have a lobster growing on your chest?:)
Anyway thanks for your input, maybe I'll give the hooping there a try one day.
