Anyone own one of these yet or had the chance to paddle one? Came across a couple articles and just interested if any local peeps have one yet.

Like the molded in handles on it. But not sure about the swivel connection at the front of the Rod Pod?

The center hatch is very well designed and will only rotate 180 degrees back and forth, thus keeping you from twisting your wires. It is also very water tight.
I may cut out the back end of the tub in the center hatch so I can more easily get rods in the kayak. They have a tube that can be mounted in there but it will really only take two rods and I need more space than that.
My Ultra is waiting to be rigged up. I got a new side image finder for it last week and I will be putting it all together later this week. Will post up some shots once I get to work on it.

I was wondering about the potential wire twisting, so thanks for the info Jim. My real concerns were with getting rods in and out and if it requires a hand to hold it up while you put things in or take them out? I know it is much easier to get my 8' rods into my Trident with the Sonar Shield down. So how easy is it to get a rod with reel attached by the new cover? A water tight Pod has got to be the most impressive improvement.
