View Full Version : OEX Kearny Mesa and OEX Oceanside
OEX Dive and Kayak is proud to announce that Rik Osanai, Owner/Operator of OEX Kearny Mesa has completed the merger with Drew Clark and Nathan Clookie of OEX Oceanside. We are sad to leave Kearny Mesa but are very excited about the new venture in Oceanside. We have taken all inventory from Kearny Mesa up to Oceanside and remodeled the entire shop so that we can provide the best possible service and products to North County!
We will now be open 7 days a week and Rik will take on the role of day to day operations and Kayak Fishing operations. As most of you know, OEX Oceanside specializes in Hobie Kayaks and Nate will continue to be our Hobie Kayak Fishing expert. We wanted to also remind everyone that we are still a full service Dive shop as well, so you can talk to Drew, as he will be handling Dive Operations.

I don't know the scheduling of events/seminars, ect, but I wanted to let you know that Sideway Outernational is playing an exclusive:
"Tribute To Kayak Fisherman" Dub set
11-3 pm December 19th 2010 at the OEX in Oside for the merger.
ANTI-MLPA all the way!..........
Rik,
Thanks for your support in getting me started in this sport. I will try and stop in when I am going by. One suggestion I have is to stock more terminal tackle. I regularly buy things like hooks, swivels, weights and flourocarbon and always pay list price. It would be nice if I could get that stuff from a shop that supports kayak fishing and this site.

Does this mean OEX Kearney Mesa is going away, or is this just a merger of owners?

I too want to thank you for the advice. I attended a seminar at your shop with the sabiki slayer a year and a half back. It got me interested in hoopin and though I haven't caught tons of keepers, Im learning and have had some very cool nights on the water.
BEST OF LUCK!

Nice to meet you today Rik. I am looking forward to the seminars that we discussed. The shop looks great. Based on the crowd that was in there today, you may need to hire some help.
Best of luck.
