Now that the Hobie TI is gone, I am considering another Revo or PA with the evolve, or the Ocean Pro Torque.
I have talked to a few guys with the evolve and they seem to love them. I have actually had a few anglers at LJ & DP buzz me on the way out, but I have yet see anyone with the OP Torque or hear any pro's or con's regarding the Torque.

I don't know which is better but have seen both at DP. They move along at a pretty good clip. I was fishing North end of Salt Creek with a guy on a Torque and he was pretty stoked with it. We left about the same time and he was out of sight pretty quick. I'm guessing he got back to Baby Beach about an hour ahead of me. :o

Unfortunately the next day he dropped dead of a heart attack. Doctor said if only he exercised a little more. :biggrinjester:

Electro-prop with anything other than a lead acid battery would be cool...

If you dont like the Revo, you'll probably buy the Torque, You should have to buy both, and be done with it :biggrinjester:

I would have to say that they are 2 completely different boats. I've used the Torque as a weigh boat for our Tournaments this year and also out at Lake Barrett a couple of times and really liked it. I stood on it at Barrett the entire day and it felt very stable. We use a blue top Optima 12V 55 amp battery and I was able to get 6hrs out of it @ trolling speed and even had enough juice at the end of the day to max out to get back to the docks at Barrett.
As a weigh boat I ran the motor almost the whole time, just under max speed, and took an extra battery with me and only had to make a change at the very end of the Tournament to get back from the Barber Poles.
The Evolve is also a nice option with either the Revo or PA. The Lithium Battery is compact and light. The biggest difference between the Torque and Evolve on either the Revo or PA, is the price. MSRP on Torque is $1999, battery not included. The Evolve itself is $1899/ with Battery, plus the cost of the boat.
We do have a Torque demo that we are looking to get rid of up @ OEX Oceanside. Feel free to give us a call and we can answer any other questions you have about either the Evolve or Torque. :)

If bus kid backs out I want second dibbs. Being the betting man I am---bus kid and I are sitting pretty and we'll be rolling in the dough soon.
Any side-bet takers on how many months? :D

Just want to confirm, if we put an eVolve on a PA, we would have to register the kayak in California, correct?
