First prize is $1500--$250 for biggest bass and $150 for biggest spottie. There is also an optional halibut sidepot for additional $25 entrance fee.

You can get an application on line at sandiegoanglers.com

Single kayakers do NOT have to have liabilty insurance like boaters for this event because it is not likely a kayak will injure someone, like a boat might.

You do NOT need to fill this part of the application out.

Single kayakers do NOT need to wait in line like boaters for check in. Just park at Shelter Island beach and walk over to check in at the launch ramp. Someone will come back over and check your kayak. No bait is allowed prior to launch--squid strips are ok however

You may buy live bait at the bait barge after launch time but no fishing there.

I fished it one year with Greg, the original BWE founder and one year with Corndawg.

This is a good cause--proceeds go to the Polanski Center for treating children's cancer

I am in.

I didnt ask them to open to kayakers for me but for all other kayakers since I am about the only full time kayaker to go to the Anglers Club. And some people who have signed up live out of town and would have had no chance to ask.

also, like other SD Anglers I volunteered my time to help out with the tournament--my job was to put up posts on the kayak sites -helping to promote the tournament

I hope there is no malicious intent in your question, because it is inappropriate.
