View Full Version : Go Pro Mounting on an Outback.

I have an Hobie Outback with Hobie bait tank and rod holders.

I am trying to determine what type of mounting to use for a Go Pro wide angle camera. I don't want to make a permanent mount with holes anywhere.

A mounting with view from over/behind me facing forward would be ideal. I really don't need to have videos of me, might be too scary for some, just the action.

Anybody have a good suggestion? Pics? can be emailed to bigkaijuu@cox.net

Bent is the best position!

Headcam.

If I were to get one, that's what I'd do. Can change angle at any time.
The only thing I see as a con is they use a CMOS sensor.

Seems you're not the only Orange Kayak lover. Fish are jumping into it just about every trip.:luxhello: Very Cool!

The boaters seem to like it too, it's an easy to spot target for them.

When panning a camera using a CMOS sensor, it has some strange effects.

Here is a very good example:

There are pros for CMOS too - lower power consumption for one.

point taken.

I was thinking in terms of still cameras not video. ccd is a nice sensor, although I have seen some really nice looking videos from the canon 5d MKII
