OK, so I'm finally ready to get those waders and splash jacket that I've been wanting for sometime. I have nothing against my Carthart bibs but I definately need some sort of waterproof/watertight/splashproff jacket.

Any suggestions?

How long do they last and how much do they cost? Meaning do they last a couple of years, 1 years, or whatever. I'd hate to spend a ton of money on something I would have to replace a year later.

I recently picked up a pair of the wadelite breathable stocking foot waders. It is a second set. My first set I got 4-5 years ago still are in good shape, but I paid more than double the price years ago. Well worth it.

Stohlquist Splashdown ST Hooded Paddle Jacket

I picked one of these up at OEX a couple months ago and I love it. fleece lining around the collar and keeps me nice and dry.

I saw this one on the online store....looks nice...and pricey. My neighbor works for Big 5, she can get me 20% off the Hodgman waders that they carry but I haven't decided whether I should get waders or dry pants.

Big 5 has decent priced waders. You cant forget the booties, you never know what you will step on also it helps to keep your feet warm too.

If you go the waders route, I would look into the waders with a zipper. They make things "easy" on the water.

They'll both keep you dry and warm. I used the hodgman chest high waders
for a long time and eventualy became annoyed with the upper bib. Next I went with the hodgman waist high's which were great but a little wet at
times around the waist.

Next up were the kokatat tempest pants with the high neopreen waist. Sure they cost a bit more but Im dry and comfortable and well worth the coin.

If I rinse and dry my gear it usually out last the cost.
