My thoughts on a plastic trailer is key. I fish a trailer hook with a reaper attached and that has been my go to bait in MB and SD Bay. when I fish for Sand Bass and Calicos I usually put on a 3.5"-6" swimbait on it depending where I'm Fishing. You can fish it without and you will get bit. My experience tells me to add plastic to increase bites. Hope this helps.

This got me enterested in heavier blades for San
diego bay.
I just started to make a 1.5 oz, 2 oz, and a 2.5 oz
blade. I,ll let you know how it works out.
