That's pretty funny. I thought sharks didn't have swim bladders, which is why I thought you CAN'T see them on your fish finders....I mean don't fish finders only work because they send out sound waves that bounce off the AIR in the swim bladder of teleosts (bony fish)???

There's always whites and other sharks (blues, makos, soupfin, threshers, tigers, hammers etc) cruising though la jolla and i cant recall a report of an attack.

Tiger sharks huh? Are you kidding or what?

I have seen a hamerhead in La Jolla, once. But always? I DON'T think so....... :doh:

I think it was 4 years ago, when the water was warm like this year. I got circled by a BIG hammerhead. It was definitely taking a look at me it came closer on the second circle. Pretty cool sight. Looked to be bigger than my Malibu 2. That was the same year that I took a pic of JP with a dorado off the nw corner.
