I am trying to wean myself off of them. First by reusing a patch over and over again up to about 4 times. Now I have started to cut about 1/4 of the patch off and using that and then reusing it again. I am very close to not using the patch at all .... Um maybe some ginger snaps ..... :eating: |
Years ago I had tried everything on the market (even the pressure point wrist bracelet) once I tried the patch it was worth every penny! I just use the patch and cut in half for day trips. Usually good for two trips. How much is it worth to be comfortable and fish all day without the worry?
When I used to fish a lot then worked on a boat my body finally got acclimated to being on the water (unless it was really bad...7-10'+ swells) then I would just pray...j/k. :D Looks like I'll have to get out on the water (:paddleersmilie:) a lot this year! I don't think the lakes will cut it! Thank for the info on ginger snaps, I'll have to give them a try! FFY |
Nothing ever worked for my brother. Not the pills, patches, cookies, crackers, NOTHING. Then he tried the Relief Band - kinda like a Swatch that shocks the wrist. Even works after you start feeling all maggoty and can be shared. Not cheap, but if nothing else works it is worth its weight in gold.
I am real lucky that it has never been a problem for me. He would get queasey in a bathtub. |

So far. Reaching into bait tank, etc on overnighters. It is sealed and uses a gel to get the conductivity to teh wrist. |
The Patch....
Anyone ever forget to wash their hands after application of the patch and then rub their eyes?

Thanks for the tip. I'll opt for Ginger Snaps instead of Cheetos next time

2 months now without a patch or feeling seasick at all.
Went out yesterday afternoon to windy choppy conditions, had ginger cookies but did not eat any as i didn't need them. I think I have cured myself. I was thinking about getting some of this new seasickness remedy called MotionEaze ...looks very promising to have "on hand". Has anyone tried this? |
sea bands, I was very skeptical of them but when we went whale watching all my kids and wife wore them. my wife had gotten sea sick on half day trip after about an hour OTW. on the whale watching trip all were fine despite other kids chumming around us.
