The dragonfly is the bomb! coming from a elite 4 dsi, I couldn't go 10 feet and the FF showed structure with fish(not biting fish, lol). I was off the pier in 40' of water playing with it and I found I could drop a 4" z-man down next to the yak and I could watch it all the way down to the bottom then jig it up and down and watch the action from above. So I sure can see everything down below now but I've got to do something tp change my luck out there. Not bringing dinner home is getting old. Still, I could have called in sick and gone back out on monday but I didn't. I love it out there !! I haven't been on a lake( where I know how to bring home dinner) in months.LOL. Saw a pod of porpoise out there, really awsome!.
So the dragonfly works fantastic, I'm completely happy with it.:reel:

i've had my dragonfly for quite some time now, and absolutely love it too!

Here it is in the pro angler.

That's a really small transducer compared to my HDI. Looks clean.

You can make out the 6 individual sabiki hooks and the weight down to 40', maybe deeper, pretty nice. But I've found that the beam is quite narrow at that shallow. My ducer is mounted near the rear scupper so if I drop in front I can't see it. Compared to my old X-4 Pro though it's amazing.

Looked online at the West Marine deal, it does not include the transducer.

Seabass 08-20-2014 06:19 AM

Why transducer is recommended for the dragonfly?
I was looking at ray marine web page..looks like there is a 60,70 and 80.

Seabass 08-20-2014 06:21 AM

What transducer not why transducer

dragonfly

The dragonfly is pretty stupid easy!. It comes with the only transducer designed for it, so no need to think about diff. ducers. It's so easy to run, that the computer chip that runs all the settings handles all but the most basic settings for you. Just turn it on and pick what you want to see like chart/sonar/ etc. It is really a different way to use a ff. very fun.:luxhello:

I paid $539. from the GPS store with the gold charts.I wanted to buy locally but saving almost a $100. forced me to take what I could get.

Too bad they didn't fix the depth contour lines for LJ. Slackers!
