Ya man. Hopefully not taking away from the OPs catch! A nice fish to be sure. And BRAVO for donating that fish to a good cause. I only shared my sonar pic because of FISH11's generosity, and I'm certain he was on the same fish as in the pic hehe.

I'm working on another post coming up soon. Lot's of people have been liking the sonar tips, so maybe I will stay in that thread for my next report.

I was also thinking I could do a seminar if people would be interested. I could do a 30 minute talk after HOW one day... maybe there would be a way to raise donations for the SoCal chapter.

Finding Submarines
 
I spent 17 years in the Navy running sonar, and I understand a lot about how they work, and how water conditions affect the sound, and how it is important for the transducer to be in the water.
That being said, I definitely appreciate the tips, and a little schoolin after a HOW event sounds great!
Finding a submarine is a lot different than finding a fish. I imagine that an ultrasound tech could teach us a lot about tellin if its a boy or girl too.
