I will supply pork chops to be prepared at the restaurant at your designated night.
Raki, Lokum and a possible surprise desert will be provided as well. Got a new tent and PFD for this trip. Need to work on the 4Runner and add some goodies to the kayak. |

Well El Nino may make the road less negotiable, but so far the weather prediction is for NO rain. |
What time will you guys be passing through Calexico? if you guys have room i can supply the charcoal now.
|
Calexico AM/PM about 7 am. Just look for the yaks. As for charcoal I do have a bag or two there now.

89* today in Gonzaga, would be nice if it stayed this warm for the trip!!!

It is 76 according to this site for San luis Gonzaga. http://www.accuweather.com/en/mx/san...orecast/231756 Really nice with little wind. |
I had checked the weather channel site. That one was in the 80s.
|
Was 78 on Saturday, light winds, nice day. HOWEVER it was 42 at 5am. So bring a jacket or hoodie for the evenings, I have seen it cold enough to FREEZE ice in a bucket left outside overnight!!! Tight Lines,

Would you recommend wearing waders while fishing during the day, or just long pants? opss I asked a question again! |
99 questions left. After that you put $1 in the kitty for each question. As to your question, it is your choice, usually warm enough to go with pants, but the boy scout would carry his waders just in case.

You are right, I was going to bring them anyways. I guess I wasted one question already! |
I'm confirmed - wife gave me 4 days - leaving Dec 26th with everyone else.
I'm bringing my pellet smoker, two full pork butts and all the fixins for pulled pork sandwiches and slaw... The smoker doubles as a grill (goes up to 550*), so anybody wants to use it for anything else is more than welcome. I'll have Mesquite and Pecan pellets on hand. Makes a great oven also - I make pizzas on it all the time... |
I just had dinner, but this post is making me hungry!
I am bringing pork chops to be fixed at the restaurant for whatever night that is my turn. |
Welcome aboard Kai, good to get you back to Baja.

I will probably be there for 3 days during that time frame and will choose the best weather window as we get close. If there is any substantial rain in the week prior, I will probably not try to tackle the Chapala road at all. All that being said, I think you should plan on me fending for myself on meals. Can't really commit to a cooking day. |
Never a problem Ross, we got you covered. See you there. No rain in forecast as of now. Chapala should be dry.

We can always eat fresh caught fish in camp or at the restaurant for the other two nights . Pescado Entero Frito would be bomb to have in camp. All we would need is oil, lemon and chile and someone to deep fry them. Ill nominate Bob :D
|
Can do easy ROB. I will bring some fresh Habanero and Ghost peppers just for mine and ROBs. He will be SMOKING for days. Really guys, fish is great down here, fixed in camp or at the restaurant. Tight lines.

As of now I don't plan to bring back fish, so I could donate what I catch if it is acceptable and or desirable.
Maybe a nice roosterfish? |

I will take plenty of tortias for fish tacos or whole fried fish.
|
Hashem, just so your not yanking on the missing toe. Farreola SIR what are tortias? Did you mean TORTILLAS? The restaurant makes them by HAND.
Quote:
|
Yes Tortillas...hand made sounds really good. I'll be taking corn tortillas.
|
Looks like we are posting in two separate threads for this event.
Can we unify and post on this thread only. Some of us get confused easily. Thanks. Nice bump isn't it? |
