Thanks Dave. For those that haven't done this yet, to be clear, you do not need to be there all day. The public comment period is what really matters for us fisherman. It will only take a couple hours of time. You have to sign up at least 15 minutes before hand, then they call names out for comment. You might be early in the list, or an hour into it. Most of the meeting is for the poor RSG reps that have to sit and listen to boring procedural and political stuff all day.

For those that haven't been to a meeting yet, attending more than just the public comment portion is a real eye opener.

We really need new faces. The MLPAI team is sick of seeing the same couple fisherman over and over again. The pro fishing RSG reps say they represent a lot of people, yet a lot of people don't show up to support our reps.

As I sat at the meeting yesterday, I wondered where everyone was and why people wouldn't show up to protect something they love.

If you don't like to speak in front of strangers, join the crowd. When the public comment starts, I think I'm going to pass out. After I get done speaking, I feel seasick. But it's not fatal.

If you don't think you're informed enough about the process, me too. And I said how confusing and contradictory the process is in my comments yesterday.

But I'm not confused about the fact that they want to take the able to drive onto the beach, launch virtually 365 days a year beautiful LaJolla fishing grounds away from us.

The world is run by the people who bother to show up. So please come to the meeting on August 3rd and make your voice heard.

Let's keep the train a rollin!!!!

Thanks so far to the guys that will be there, we need more people to show up. Stand up and be heard and/or counted. You don't have to speak, if public speaking is not your thing, you can cede your time. The important thing is your presence. The enviros had over 100 people at the last meeting and the tide has swung back in their favor.

Even if we lose in this whole f'ed up process don't you want to be able to look back and say you at least tried to fight it!!!
