here's the questions being decided.

Thanks! Just what I asked for!! :you_rock:

Now that's what I call compromise!

JoeBeck 12-15-2010 02:48 PM

So when do these go into effect? How are they going to notify the general public of all these reserves and enforce it?

IF all this gets the final vote that is. They clearly stated that just because they voted for these things doesn't mean they are going to get put into place.

I like how most of the expanding of the existing areas was explained as needing to be done so that people would be able to recognize the boundary...

Thanks to all who made it up there...If I hadn't been in C school I'd have taken leave early to get there...

I've just recently started fishing again, and it kills me to think, if some have their way, by the time I have grandkids I won't be able to take them fishing off the coast...

Well I'm totally confused as to where and where I can't fish so I'll just fish wherever I "think" I can hahahaha

Dear Enviros-nature Nazis-Eco soldiers,

Nothing I like better than to stand in a crowded room and listen to some environmental lunatics spewing the crap that they have been fed as though it were truth. And others that think that Prop. 3 is going to magically reduce pollution and runoff. They really know not what they do, only what they have been force fed.

GregAndrew 12-15-2010 04:13 PM

They did vote to leave the entire pier open to bait making, but the north boundary will be moved to just south of the pier.

-scallywag- 12-15-2010 04:22 PM

WOW...the end of that was pretty good.....commissioner Rogers "not afraid of legal threats..."

That pretty much sums it up, fearless eco-warriors, I bet the governator is SOOO proud!!!

Kayaker's baitfishing at scripps pier proposal was passed.:cheers1:

La Jolla option 4 was passed, making the reserve bigger. :banghead:

But, yellow tail alley is still open!!<!-- / message --><!-- sig -->

Another day of highs and lows........proud to have been among those representing today. I thought we more than towed the line...............same ol snooty LAG HAGS and blue shirts doing the noble thing standing up against the short sighted fisherman :the_finger: I suppressed more than 1 "WAKE UP!" or "OPEN YOUR EYES!" As the commssion seemed to ask the wrong questions following attorney statements.

StinkyMatt 12-15-2010 05:06 PM

To all the guys here, BIG thanks for representing our interest. :cheers1:

One question,

If I fish aoutside of a closed area, can I travel through a closed area with my catch? As in towards a beach where I want to land? How would this be enforced?

Yes you can - just like we do now at La Jolla Shores.

Iceman 12-15-2010 05:25 PM

Here is roughly how things will be changing for north La Jolla, only bait making in the northern blue, no fishing zone has taken plenty of good stuff! Gregos Monster Butt hole, The Road, the Round house, Heart Break Hotel..........yuck!

That sucks. But until they move those yellow bouys, or see some coordinates on the DFG site, I'm not changing where I drop my line.

old_rookie 12-16-2010 10:14 AM
