Just paid, I'm in. Just caught a bad ass cold and hopefully I'll be feelin better by early Saturday morning... :nurse: as I'll have to drive down around 2-3 AM. If I can't make it... it's still for an awesome cause. Keeping my fingers crossed!

I would bank on there being some side pot, every event I've been to there's someone collecting money for a side bet.

The main objective of this tournament is to raise money and awareness to Heroes on the Water, so there will be no money pay outs. Please spend your $5-10.or more on raffle tickets, everyone in the bass division will be eligible for some kind of big bass award...........I will come up with a prize. :D

Our goal is still 150 entries and $5000 for SoCal Heroes on the Water.

Be a part of it!

Sidenote

Walk ups will be the same $25 fee, not charging any extra. Cash only the morning of the tournament. I am sure that the total will have exceeded 100 so will not include swag bag.

Raffle tickets will be $1 each, buy them before launching or after, while enjoying some killer fish tacos and a icy Coca Cola!

If you are fishing in the halibut division and want to get bait from the receiver prior to 7 am start time, you have some options: You may launch elsewhere closer to the barge, like Mariners Point, get your bait and then paddle/pedal or even motor up to Santa Clara Point to check in or head down and back then check in. No lines in the water before 7am and no motors on the yaks after 7am.

You can launch from both sides of the Santa Clara Point peninsula, I will post a map when I get the chance.

Andy, considering the option of launching at Mariner's Point. If I grab my bait early, and motor over to Santa Clara Point before check-in, do you think I could stow my BassYaks motor with Brent at OEX during the tournament, then pick it up afterwards. I can just pop it in and motor it back over to Mariner's Point after the tournament's over with. Last question, can I tie up at the dock there while checking in, etc. so as to keep my pump going and bait alive?

Thanks,

- Ken

Ken,

I am sure you could stow your motor at OEX or I can keep it in my truck for you. Can't use the dock maybe a line or anchor to tie off on the beach

Okay... thanks for the offer on holding my motor if Brent can't do it. :)

The anchor idea might be best, that way it won't beach itself if I use a line to tie it off to the beach... thanks.

All that swag makes me glad I'm # 61. :)

When we get our fish weighed, since the boat will be moving around, will we be able to weigh in multiple times? For example, if I catch three bass and the boat comes by but it's still early in the day, can I weigh in more fish later? Or can I only weigh 3 fish one time?

Fishin Phil 04-14-2015 06:00 PM

See the first page of this thread

9. You may weigh up to 10 total bass (no more than 5 in your tank at a time) while complying with DFG regulations. The angler is responsible for keeping track of the number of fish weighed. Attempting to weigh more than 10 bass could result in disqualification.
