LJ 11/20. Jack stacked
perfect weather. perfect day of off-season YT chasin.
first guy kicked my arse for a good half an hour, weighed in at 36 pounds. 42" tip to fork. PB yt. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...CFAC0AA32D.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...CFCB0E6A65.jpg second guy hit me super shallow and went straight for the pots, got him up quick and with no complications. 25 pounds. CHEERS TO FALL :cheers1: |
Nice jacks!
on da squid? i found a patch on sunday. no yt to go with it though. |
Nice rack!
|
Way to go!!! x2 Was it on the squid? Ill be spending my Thanksgiving morning there hoping to get lucky! Im glad to see someone posting up a report on them yellows its been a while and I know their out there!
|
So what time is Thanksgiving dinner? :D
|
On the squid. Guy next to me hooked up with a frozen so they must have been feeding. The big guy was stuffed with em.
|
Epic!
|
You rock by the way. Saw you snagged a few nice ones as well.
|
:D
That's partying like it's 1999! Both your day on the water, and your timely report!! :cheers1: It is just missing AM or PM... I LIKE! :luxhello: Big time congrats, awesome catch!!! It will take a couple of days to get that smile off your face. :D 36# is very respectable PB on local YT. Not a lot of folks reading this had put some huge numbers over 36# yts under their belt. Whether they are sand sharks experts or not, bait barges or guides, whatever. :biggrinjester: |
Well, maybe that's what you get for being a nice guy, Ryan.

And, for Pete's sake, quit blaming it on Jesus. I really don't think The Lord Almighty had anything to do with it. Maybe the devil made him do it...:D . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . A guy just the other day was telling me you can't catch Yellowtail this time of year. I tried to tell him otherwise, but after a couple of seconds I had to stop myself. Why take away the precious feeling of discovery for him, ya' know? |
Whew!
For a second I thought that LJ was the only place that did not have squid..... It's good to know that LJ has also been blessed with a few squishy ones. Too bad that all the YT are now stuffed and it's pointless to go fishing for them now. :) |
Nice fall catch! Two yellows like this is a good day any day. Thanks for the tips.
|
What tips? I said another guy used a frozen squid. I caught em on a purple salas in 65 feet.
:eek::jig::sifone: |
Well done D!
Now that right there deserves a lollipop! |
I love how Ryans post got deleted.
Going into commercial YT fishing has really changed the way "certain people" act on the water now ... guys who used to preach about preservation of the fishery blah blah blah... People who used to be cool to talk to, now won't say two sentences to you. But once you have fish in the boat they're all fucking chatter. |
nice haul!!
I can't catch-em if I don't fish for-em. Someday I'll get me one-of-em |
Dude way to go!:luxhello:
|
Nice & congratulations
|
Great catch and a better old school report!
