Did you notice what happened as soon as you stoped supporting the fish by the gaff both times? Great fish George, glad you got to take it home.

Yes, and I did........and do you know what's the first thing or person that came to my mind when that happened?

YakMedic 01-23-2012 05:41 PM

Wow, that game clip bent quite a bit under the weight of that halibut. I would never know that myself since my fish never break into the double digits.

Nice save George

bellcon 01-23-2012 05:41 PM

Nice fish:cheers1:

That is because you needed both hands for your clip lol.

Its aluminum....that's why it bent so easily. Nonetheless, I got it at Home Depot

I must say fishing out of a Hobie is pure joy!!!!! Thanks for all the encouragement to join the Hobie family....and to top it off and catch a 10lb 31in Halibut on the Maiden Voyage!!!! Guess the Orange Aventurine color is really good luck...

http://www.healingcrystals.com/Avent...ticles_72.html

.....or maybe it could have been George's luck???

Regardless here is the end result....Look forward to many more adventures

Cheers
