saw that one this morning, hope the seller gets back to me. Might also check out a Prowler 13 today too if the S14 falls through.

It said it has a hole that was patched... I hope it was done professionally...

I will never going to buy a used kayak that was patched again..........:mad:

Or unless is really patched by professional like OEX.

The guy i bought the kayak from, also said was patched and doesn't leak, and it start leaking in the water first time i went out fishing!!

I did test the kayak when buying from him, but with only few mins on the water, really hard to tell is it leaking water, and i was too excited when buying my first kayak...so....

Its a home patch job, I passed. Other than that it's clean

was cheap enough that if it had a problem, I can have it fixed. Hardly any drag marks on the bottom. So it came home w/ me. Also has a high back seat, fish finder,battery/charger and a working bait tank, alum paddle and bunch of bungies.

just put saddles on your wing and put the yak on it :) and a monster energy sticker would complete the outfit

Ladder rack on a 1994 ford ranger doing 70-85mph on the freeway is no problem for me with a PA haha

You should loop the straps through the scupper hole for a piece of mind. I would hate to see/hear a kayak loose on the freeway again.

not sure I want to try and put that much stress on the roof racks at 85mph.

For the scupper hole idea, I do like that but I've been thinking of added a third strap through the rear doors, tie down the yak to the car rather then depend on the roof rack system. Maybe being too paranoid but never had a kayak on a roof rack before, just my bikes.

I run the same set-up on my Audi, its perfectly fine at highway speeds. I have done 85+mph before and it's pretty stable.

Yakin, now let's test that rack out with two yaks.

If both yaks can sit side by side on the rack it should work perfectly.
I am going to measure the rack right now to see.

quick seat mock up, seat seem pretty comfy!! Just need to fix the anchor trolley line, one side is missing the backing nut. It will be PITA to get to. I think I can get to it through the drain hole some how...need to do HW on this

That car cant get that bad of gas milage. My 01 tacoma only gets 15 mpg. I barely made to san diego and back on one tank!

14-16MPG in the city and barely 20 on the freeways cruising around 80. factory turbo, 300HP and AWD, engine is same size as a soda bottle....yah i didn't buy the car to act like a prius LOL

My buddy just got a 09' trd, trying to get him to get a yak as well.

Don't want to put undue stress to the scupper holes just tie down your stern and bow like in the pic (oh look its a wrx) :)

what did you tie down to? The evo doesn't offer easy access to the tow points. Just for loading the EVO onto a trailer or something
