We are planning on getting down there by 6:30 7:00, coming from Ventura ...fish the day and hang around
Saturday night for some din din and drinks...anyone? The more the merrier...see ya'll there...:D

I was planning on joining, but I think I have a wheel bearing going out on my car.... Have to take it in over the weekend to get checked out.

Baby beach?

yeah I think so unless we want to go north then it would be to our advantage to pay for the landing saves about a mile paddle, if we go south I don't care...

I was going to head to LJ but Dana would save me an hour drive, Anything going on there?

I should have just kept my mouth shut and kept pretending I had no idea who you guys were. I'll see if I can make it up there, it would be a lot of fun and I haven't fished Dana yet. No promises :rolleyes:

After the dismal weekend last week it can't be any worse...I am hoping the
stabilized temps will set the bass off in the area, it would be nice to get into a decent bass bite, but I'm not picky...:reel:

Where do you normaly launch from Dana point? when you say baby beach is that where that little peir is were they normaly keep the pirate boat?
What type of baits do you use out there? Im interrested in going and i get paid tonight so i can do a little shopping if the wife lets me lol.

If you google Dana Pt Harbor and zoom in a bit, it's the beach labeled "Kayaking beach". North side of the harbor.

You can launch at the boat launch as well, but they charge for it.

Yeah that's it, that boat is at a mall pier to the right of the baby beach, as far as
baits, I like Hammer 3-5 inch, bring some Gulp if you got it, live bait there, or you can make it if you want...cya there

There is a slot limit on "surf bass" now, 2 in possession between 22 and 28 inches
or 5 over 18 inches but not to exceed 20 inches, and you must present the security token to the "man" if you are checked, in order to avoid serious financial penalty..."good luck we are all counting on you" ....:rolleyes:

ill just take one over 28" :sifone: you have to throw the 5" swimbaits. that squid stuff doesn't work.

now that we are completely off topic, while I have your attention, we are going to the United Anglers BBq in Sept, it's on the Labor Day weekend, on Sunday
We haven't got to surf fish down that way yet, we may just head down early and fish like BC area or something like that, up here in Ventura, I have not seen croakers like that at the beach, maybe I will start throwing the 3 in Hammer for a while from now on...

ill PM you some "dope" this evening. VC was kickin out legal ghosts left and right about a month and a half ago from shore.

I managed a few juvies, one legal, but still fun, off the yak, but nothing off the beach, I have only been surf fishin for about a year, but I love it, if I can't get out on the yak...:reel:
