Damn Dude, I was just going to ask the same question. I missed out on last years. I'm down, come on Andy got my deposit ready.

MrM 12-03-2012 11:11 AM

I already have my money set aside. I'd love to hop on one of these!

Siebler 12-03-2012 11:15 AM

Dates are almost always discussed with John/Shane during Fred Hall in March. We will announce them as soon as we have them.

I like the way you think:D

Drake 12-03-2012 01:22 PM

no, just no people with no Radios. ;)

Siebler 12-03-2012 02:49 PM

Black pearl trips are done by OEX SSB Islander is from OEX MB.

Soon as we have dates we will get them to you. Should be standard May/June like every year.

Shane did say he didnt want to do PA's anymore because of how hard it is on crew and such. We will know more on this before taking any bookings.

xpresso2am 12-03-2012 03:11 PM

I have a PA but want to go, can I rent a kayak for this trip?

hook1fred 12-03-2012 03:26 PM

I want in on that :cheers1:

Drake 12-03-2012 03:29 PM

Didn't Black Pearl move back up north? Will they be coming back down next season?

I do not think so. Wish I knew of a boat to run up here.

Well, the obvious solution is to front the 50k-75k and get that BWE mothership going.

Just saying. :p

It can cost you anywhere from $600 - $700 total. The 2.5 day trips are about $500, add the cost of fuel, tips, snacks, drinks and you're looking a another $100-$200 dollars.

wiredantz 12-04-2012 07:32 AM

im going... on what trip jorge goes on...:cheers1:

Siebler 12-04-2012 10:06 AM

We do rent kayaks for these trips and actually soon will have a Fishing Kayak rental program all the time.

1.5 day is usually around 300 2.5 is about 500. If you can swing the 2.5 day everybody will probably agree, well worth it.

It's fine to go on the same trip as Jorge. When you are on the trip and the kayak is in the water and you are ready to fish you should stop following Jorge though.

I can't wait for the next Islander trip!!!

mtnbykr2 12-05-2012 06:54 AM

I am going to go if at all possible, I wonder if it is possible to have two trips of a life time...let's find out...

note to self... bring drift chute, wind can be SUPER HIGH!!!

StinkyMatt 12-05-2012 07:26 AM

Frank, just tie your kayak to the boats rail and fish from it. No need for wind chute.

Kayaks are soooo overrated.

Tha islander trip last year was a blast. I can't imagine if we got Frank drunk and had him bunk with Roby! Instant romance.
