V 2.0 - The Official 2013 Team Sewer vs. Team Lollipop challenge. [FINAL EDIT]
 

After a meeting of the minds, the structure for the 2013 Team Sewer vs Team Lollipop Challenge has been changed.

The changes are intended to give abalanced structure for both teams, as well as give everyone on BWE a chance to take part in the fun. This challenge is not to be taken seriously. Its purpose is to bring anglers of all skill levels together, have fun, learn some things and catch some fish. Even more so, it gives Team Sewer and Team Lollipop more reason to talk smack to each other , which we all know is the most important part.

The Wager
The founding members of the losing team will have to post a picture on BWE holding signs and wearing costumes seemed most appropriate by the winning team, admitting defeat and being humiliated for all of BWE to see.
Tournament Structure

• There will be a bi-monthly head-to-head fish off. Dates/Locations TBD
• This is a best of Seven challenge
• TS and TL will each get to pick three venues + the June 2.5day Mothership trip
  
• All of BWE is invited to play
• Once TS/TL determines a time and place, it will be posted on BWE
• Once posted, members can just show up at the designated place and time
• At the launch, the founders of TS/TL will pick teams with the "pick ups" and make even number teams
• The largest single fish of each different species from each angler will be considered for final weigh in (i.e. an angler may measure one YT, one Calico and one Sheepshead)
• The team with the heaviest combined team weight will win the challenge
• Anyone who wishes to C&R can weigh their fish on board but must photograph it
• Legal size fish that are caught and released but not weighed will be given credit for the smallest legal fish caught between both teams
• All species of fish (legal size) will be considered for weigh in

I suspect Team Sewer existed many many years ago when the first knuckle head decided to take his float tube out at Long Beach.


I somehow suspect that Neil (Drake) likes to wear women's clothing so we will have to come up with something a little different than that for him. :D

Here's the deal.

I've been pretty quiet on the matter because last week I received a notice from my corporate office that my position has been relocated to San Diego, I have 30days to accept/reject the offer. The company is paying for all of my moving expenses plus temporary housing should I need it.

My wife and I have always talked about moving to the San Diego area and have also talked about retiring south of the border. With one of the two kids out of the house it has made the offer so much easier to accept. Last night we talked with the kids and I even went as far as telling them about this TS vs TL competition. So it comes with great sadness that I announce that Team Lollipop can SUCK IT!

Sounds like someone got their hopes up in favor of a real leader, then got dumped like a Virgin on prom night. Anyone can fish where "life is sweet" that's why you have guide services and kayak tours there. Try it in a "sh*thole". :D

No, anyone who shows up is going to be able to fish for one of the teams

Matt, myself and I'm sure Drake would also agree that if you play you'll have to pay. Don't show up and fish some of the tournaments and expect to not pay up(whatever the payout is) when the tournament is over.

P.S.
the payout is not monetary but I'm sure that once we figure out what it is you'll wish it was:D

Each individual challenge will have a wager, where all team members will have to pay up. But, at the end of the year, either TS or TL will have to pay the ultimate price
