congratulations on your first:cheers1: |
Congrats on your first yellow on the yak. Cant wait for mine!
I like the pic of the cooler with the tail coming out haha. But where can you drive on the beach in cali? It looks like in the pic that you have your truck on the sand. That would be so much easier for loading and unloading and tailgate shore fishing!! |
nice catch!:)
|
At La Jolla there is access to drive up on the sand for pickup and drop off.
|
Congratulations & Thanks for the report!:)

Excellent! Nothing quite like your first YT. Stoked for you.
|
Thanks for the kind words.
So when i got the fish back to the gf's place I weighed it using the old bathroom scale thing. The difference between me holding the fish and not holding the fish was just a bit under 30lbs. Not sure how accurate that is but its exciting still to know it was close to 30lbs.
Definitely the biggest fish I've ever caught. Massively exciting to to have the chance to be pulled around by that fish. I'm so new to kayak fishing my first thought was that I was stuck on kelp. I quickly figured out that kelp doesn't shake or take line and my next thought was, "God I hope its not a shark or a BSB". If I wasn't hooked on kayak fishing before, I definitely am now. What a rush!!!!! |
