I am looking for a kayak cart
Medium bass rod with a sensitive tip (want to pay ~50 bucks)
Fish finder that will tell me what is on the bottom
bait tank/bait tank plumbing

I don't have a lot of cash on hand, but if you make me a good deal I might be able to find the money.
I also have a few things to trade: a hitch extender, a couple thule bike racks, and a few other things. Thanks!

Do you have to strap the kayak down to that cart or does the weight of the yak hold it on there? I need to get me some wheels soon and I like that price.

I have an old Berkley Hot Rod Express HREC601MH 6' rated 10-25lb. If we find a time to meet up I'll give it too you. It's cheaper to give the rod away than to buy another reel. :-) BTW, live near SDSU/Lake Murray area.

It comes with a strap and it's very easy to use. I actually use two straps for extra security, but one could probably get by with just the 1

I think my Hobie is like 80+ lbs loaded, would you have to strap it down at all if just on cement walkway from the parking lot to the sand? Just curious.

Also wondering if it had the stink problem on of the Amazon reviewers mentioned? Thought that was funny. Price is definitely attractive since building a similar one is about $35 and I'm lazy. :p

I built a cart for my trident 15 when I had it but the only problem was PVC was not strong enough when I would load my yak down with all my lobster gear, all those nets bait and bugs are heavy lol

My Moken 14 is 75 pounds unloaded, probably 85 to 90 pounds when loaded. I strap it no matter what because I don't want it to slide off for any reason. Peace of mind if you know what I mean. The only think that stinks, like any cart is the tires when you leave them in a car.

This Cart, for the price, is amazing.

You might be ok with no strap until you get to the sand. At that point, the wheels will dig in and sink some. Even if you have the fat wheeleez, they will sink a little in the sand, and you'll pull the yak off the wheels. I had 2 straps, but I usually only end up using 1 strap. With the ratchet, it's tight enough.

Is the wheel in the keel on that feel free not big enough for the yak loaded with gear?

The Moken does come with the Wheel in a Keel however it was very tippy and not well balanced. It pulled through the sand going downhill fine, but at the end of the day pulling it up through the sand loaded up was difficult. Having ruptured my bicep tendon a few years ago I have learned it's better to be safe than having to go have surgery. The wheel works great for loading onto the vehicle, moving around the house, and on harder surfaces but deep sand not as great. I still have more testing to do, but I like the cart that I have for moving through sand.

The pimped out Outback did come with one of the expensive carts, but the 2nd Outback I bought is bare bones and currently I am just throwing it on top of the first one (on the same cart) and dragging them both out at the same time with my buddy pushing. Just looking to make it easier and get a 2nd cart. Does this cart break down to store inside the kayak? Unfortunately the Hobie doesn't have much space inside the hatches so internal storage isn't super easy.

are they the scupper cart, made by Hobie? I think those just flip upside down and fit inside the scupper holes, but pointing up.. while you kayak.

It is actually a Wheeleez beach cart, one of the spendy ones with the fat tires. Yeah it fits in the scupper holes.
