Great little reels. I bought one about 4 years ago and it's still going strong.

Little reel? that thing is huge. I got mine delivered two days ago. Still trying to figure out what i'm going to do with it.

Its big and heavy but well made.

So my question is, why is the ABF 40 more than the ABF 90? I was thinking about picking an ABF 40 for freshwater bass and spotted bass ect.

Did you guys notice that they have Curado 300EJ for $79.95?

Mine is the Freshwater 40. So, it's little as I see it. I don't like the big coffee grinder type spinners. Still, a very nice reel whether you get the 40 or the 90

Same price here but takes 1-2 months to ship but still ordered myself one!

Yeah I wanted the 40 too but it wasn't as good of a 'Deal' so got the 90 instead. I'm thinking I made a mistake :D

The 90 is just HUGE!! Looks like it belongs on a 12 foot long surf rod or something.

I just bought the new curado CU300EJ $79 on amazon - it was $159 used and it is $259 @ bass pro - that has to be a mistake - I did a screenshot to prove the ad - lets see what happens

No not shipped I mean its sold by amazon; Amazon is the seller. Ods of them hornoring the price is better since they could afford to take the lost.

I posted the Curado sale on a couple other fishing boards and know of at least 7 others who have now ordered one. Hopefully, it'll come through!

That sounds too good to be true....I bought mine for $259 plus tax.....I love my reel, I would buy 3 if this is for real....no pun intended!

The more we abuse the price mistake the better the chance they would cancel the order. Keep the order amount low folks.

I nabbed two earlier today. Will see what transpires. My guess is Shmano is coming out with a newer model and decided to bulk sell to Amazon.

The 1-3 months ship time tells me amazon doesn't stock these at all.

No disrespect, but if it is a mistake amazon made and the more people know about this and buy one. The less chance were gonna have for them to grant that price for us. Same reason I didn't repost in any other site.

Bought another Curado. A buddy that works for Shimano said they're getting discontinued. Newer model is going to be smaller with larger line capacity.

$74.96 from new seller on amazon way faster shipping only a few left instock. Canceled through amazon!

And I just picked up a Terez Waxwing today from a private party for $100 to put the Curado on when it gets here. Assuming it gets here... lol.

I saw that but it's a new seller with zero feedback, I usually steer away from those.


Terez TZC80M: 8' conventional 30#-60# rod, good for this reel? Can get one for $149 new right now if it's good.

yes that rod is a great fit for 300ej and it is the match for the "Shimano waxwing lure" for casting :sifone:

So a buddy of mine told me this happened before to a Penn reel and it came within 2 weeks. Huh. Anyway the Okumas AF90 went up a bit but the rest of the prices went down.:luxhello::notworthy:

Ordered one too but had problems with it and Amazon cancelled the order. No harm, no foul. I still ordered one from Amazon.
