29th March - 4 April FULL MOON trip!!!!!
A week in paradise looking for WSB.

TEACHERS EASTER BREAK. But open to all. Winds usually die down around now and fishing can be AWESOME. Bring lot's of both metal and Repala type lures set to run 10-25 feet deep. 50 lb WSB are usually in the area at this time of year.

Ok guys this is getting close. fishermen are Deamon, ROBMONEY, EastLosYaker, ChuckD, LEEZO, Svendawg, AND maybe 619-SWIM-DOG.
ROBMONEY and me are going down this weekend to drop off the front window and fish a few hours on saturday. Looks like winds below 10. might be fun.

Every one will be responsible for one dinner for all and their own snacks, drinks, and ice. I will bring breakfast for 4 days, on your own for lunch.
Bring plate, bowl, and silverware and cup. If you want camp fire bring some fire wood too. Please respond and let us know what you will be making for your dinner so we do not duplicate.

Night one ROBMONEY...........Hambugers/Hot dogs, pasta salad, natchos too
Night two Deamon................. London Broil +
Three EastLosYaker..............Finger Licking Chicken
Four LEEZO...................... Tri tip tin foil stew
Five Svendawg ................... Cowpoke chile/stew with ELK
Six ChuckD.......................... Fish
Seven Paddleman............... EAT locally, new resturant.

THIS TRIP IS FULL

Weather permitting we might try for the island, or go to the reefs in Gonzaga.

For the nights later in the trip bring the meat frozen in the cooler, it should thaw by the last couple days. At least that's what my dad would do whenever we took week long camping trips

Damn, night 6. I better figure out something that doesn't spoil. How about fresh fish:) Jim, you best be bringing some of that spicy edamame man! Also, I am pretty serious about hitting up the island with the adventure for a night, if so, whomever is down, bring a tent with you to camp out. Could be epic, can't wait!

I'll switch nights with you if you want. I'll be bringing chicken again and I do the freezer trick that danjor was talking about. Let me know. And Bob, in case you missed it, sign me up for chicken.

619-SWIM-DOG cannot make this trip so in his place I have a Suprise guest. You guys will like him or ELSE. Oh you better lock up your cookies and sweets.

Crocks and deep running Repalas ruled this time last year on the WSB. You might have to upgrade your hooks AND rings. SEE you soon.

Tony thank you for posting some of last years video and pics. Such good memories, but I think it is moore fun doing it.

The last night in camp we will try something new. Restaurant style food in walking distance of our place. Pay your own bar bill, I'll get dinner this time. As we are all going to be guinea pigs.

Only a week away. HOW on Saturday. Meet at 5am Sunday at Johnny's Shell station in El Cajon. Should arrive in time to fish Sunday afternoon. Steve and Sven are there now prefishing!!! I expect to see Orange mouth Corvina on the beach, WSB around the point and cabrilla, bass, triggers, and snapper. Too early for exotics exception maybe YT. Tight lines.

Oh yeah, go get them. Tight lines everyone!

Just got back today.
Fish caught: Yellowtail, Sierra, Cobrillo to 10#, 57" totoaba (released), 100's of sand bass, orange mouth corvina, snapper, some triggers but not too many.
Weather was all over but we were able to fish everyday

Sven you are a beast! Were did you get the Yellow's, Pukeys point? Were did you stay? Your getting me excited!

Stayed three days at Papa fernandez, then went to your place for the remainder of the week.
The YT, Sierra and Totoaba were caught in Gonzge bay.
Cabrillo caught on the reefs just north of your place.
Maybe this trip we can finally fish together

How was Papa Fernandes place to camp, what facilities. Did you fish from there?

The camp sites were not kayak friendly, too far across uphill sand dunes and rocks, so they let us stay next to the launch ramp. Found a good place 30 yards from the water with afternoon shade from a large tree. $7.00 a night per car, 200 yards from the restaurant which was good if you supply your own fish. They cook your fish with trimmings for fish tacos for $5.00 each.
We used the restroom outside the restaurant which was clean, roomy and had flush toilet. The owners were very friendly and accommodating.
The trip across the Willard bay to Gonzage bay was a little long, but at the right time of year there is good fishing along the island from Willard bay to Gonzage Bay. Inside Willard bay was good Sand Bass fishing on the rocky reef, with some Cabrillo and leopard grouper.
