Sting Rays can get in the way. But it's a proven fact that big bugs and sting rays regularly congregate. Jim

Okay, okay... I didn't know Jim/Saba Slayer and Jimmie Salazar were one in the same... I'm still the new "new guy" around here and apparently have lots to learn... :notworthy:

Thanks for the info... I hope I can make it to the seminar, but the Chief Director of Social Planning in our family already has us booked to join friends at the Lobster Festival that day... I'm going to try and explain that if I go to the seminar, we can have our own lobster festival a lot more than once a year! ...lol

ful-rac 09-25-2015 11:42 AM

The lobster at the lobster festival isn't even local lobster....! It's Maine Lobster!

If there is a Hall of Fame for fishing, Jim's name will surly be there.

Great seminar to attend if you can make it..

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! Okay, my preference are sting ray and snails. But these red/oranges roaches keep stealing my bait. How can I block them out of my traps?

OK...I googled the addresss for you...Pretty simple...I just typed in Sport Chalet Torrance and this address came out...!!! Who knew it could be so easy...? I'll have to try this Google thing again.

Village Del Amo Shopping Center, 21305 Hawthorne Blvd, Torrance, CA 90503
(310) 316-6634

Mahigeer 09-27-2015 06:51 AM

I got there about five minutes before noon, and I was the only one.
It looked for a moment that by default, I would get a lot of goodies, but then the others showed up.
About 16 people attended.

I have attended many of Jim’s seminars at the FHS and every time I learn something new.
He was very informative as usual.

I got a beanie hat and won a Tee shirt in the raffle. We each also got goodie bags.

Thanks Mr. Salazar for putting this seminar together.

The only issue was the refusal of the Sport Chalet to turn off the music, so we can hear Jim easier. They turned it down, but not off.

Fish Taco 09-27-2015 03:43 PM

Thanks Jim for a great seminar! Was very informative!!! Also thanks for selling me a copy of one of your books later, as well as the tips on the nets and crawfish trap for the Sierras!

See you on the water!
