There are No Parking Sunday 4/23 temporary signs posted on the streets. Not sure about the parking lot. Just came back from a poor session today. I'm out most Saturdays.

looking for fishing partner

Anyone fish out of Dana Point? I have fished the harbor plenty of times, but looking to explore the kelp beds off of the headlands/point. Would love to have someone to go out with for company and safety reasons. I fish from a Hobie PA 12.

I'm sure with the weather break there will be 50 kayakers and 100 boats out at La Jolla this weekend. Most if not all kayakers are pretty cool when it comes to saying hello on the water, except " DEAMON" he's been known to through rice noodles at anyone who approaches him! :the_finger:

Best way to gain experience is time on the water, you will be able to see were most people are fishing, and a known rule for all kayakers and boats is to help in all cases of an emergency. VHF, PDF, and you are good to go, most people are on channel 68.

Good Luck Man! I was in your shoes a year ago and am still learning every trip!

:cheers1:

I head out of Dana pretty often and usually see guys fishing inside the harbor on my way out, and sometimes stop to see how the fishing is that day. Just ask guys paddling by if they are going out and wouldn't mind some company for a bit. I'd take anyone along as long as they don't look like they are going to flip their yak 2 miles from the harbor :D

When one hasn't caught a fish in a while...one starts eating a lot more rice. Has anyone noticed the price of rice? :the_finger:

Besides, I've found something much...MUCH more effective: ziploc bags of yellowcorn speckled poo poo (steamier the better). :the_finger:

AND...the greenies show up soon after...an added bonus! :the_finger:

Anyone know if a gaff, made from a broken hockey stick, is unlucky? I'm just sayin....... :the_finger::sifone:

If you fish with NickWorn...and your bug and fish counts drop like a flatfall that sinks out like a torpedo, paddle like hell...far away...:the_finger::paddleersmilie:

I have a small pickup that barely fits my kayak unfortunately, but would love to meet up with you down there at some point

X2

If he invites you to go fishing here's a tip. When you hear him say, "Left's go left here, the honey hole is right over there" go right. I'm telling this from experience.

THIS I can confirm.
The first time we met on the water, when I paddled up to you to introduce myself, you called me names and threw bait at me. Hit me in the face with a mac too.
