Lobster fishing on kayak!

Hey guys! I got a hobie outback that I want to rig up for lobster since the season is fast approaching! Any of you guys go out? What would you recommend? For sure I need lights haha

Not much to it. Throw 4-5 nets already prep. w/bait, buoys, glow lights on back and pedal out w/ a headlamp and reflector tape on paddles. I put a 3-4' piece of PVC with a lamp on top in the sail mast of my outback but most of my buddies are content w/ only headlamp. I would recommend a lip-grabber so you can remove the occasional scorpionfish or rockfish from net. Canvas game bag is also very handy. Goes w/out saying- bring lobster gage & fishing license.

Here's how I used to rig my outback a few years ago. Couple bucks of pvc.

Good feedback! Thanks! Do you guys stay in the harbor or go out to the open ocean? Ha
