Well super bummed about not having a job after the fires burned right through the job site ....... which meant not having enough money to go on the Memorial Islander 1 1/2 day trip...and losing my deposit. Anyhow trying to decide what to do with my family I was able to sell some extra reels and swing some money for a last minute trip. So calling down to Ensenada and chartering a boat was the best idea ever especially on a Sunday! To make a long story short we started out slow with 2 yellows in the 10-15 lb range......fish start boiling pushing all kinds of bait right out of the water..........then holy moly big barracuda chasing our jigs! Well we had one hell of a time fishing Todos Santos Island and ended up with my personal best almost #30 and 20 fish in total from 10-30 lbs with 5 unwanted slimy barracuda. half caught on live bait and others on tady 45's:jig:

Bled immediately & kept cool, Cuda' is some of the best fish I have ever tasted (in taco's). :cheers1:

I agree. If you bleed them as you catch them and then cook it properly Cuda isn't junk fish. I've actually soaked it in a little worcestershire sauce and then grilled it with good success. Also, I have a buddy that used leftover cuda in his lobster traps with rediculous success.

I will have to agree with the cuda comments. I cooked up some wsb and some cuda that I caught that day and had my wife do a blind taste test. She liked the cuda more.

I'm not saying I like it more than wsb, but it is pretty good when done right.

Smoked Cuda......super delicious.

I actually tasted YT, tuna and Cuda....from the same shop and same recipe. All were great.

The high oil content of Cuda seems to give it a great profile for smoking.

Try it.

Is it just me or does cuda stink really bad? I don't even like touching them to unhook them. The smell isn't too appetizing.
