A friend of mine just brought these to my attention. Anybody here have any experience with them. What do you guys think?

Not very suitable for ocean fishing unless you're keeping a handful of small anchovies alive

Just use a standard baittank. Sardines and anchovy require lots of fresh seawater to stay alive...and even when they do get it, you still lose some. A closed system with a bubbler....waste of money imo.

Yeah, I was noticing that all the reviews I've been able to find are referencing fresh water fishing. I like that it doubles as a cooler though and the price is attractive. If they had a pump option rather than just a bubbler it sounds like it might be worth trying out.

You can always add a pump to it, pretty inexpensive to DIY

Nice! That thing definitely looks badass. I love the DIY aspect also. Thanks for the link! Regardless of what tank I end up with, I still might try my hand at a little garage engineering.

Nice for pier fishing or a nice day at the lake

Those air pumps are cheap like $7 for a pretty reliable one. And they will run for 48 hrs non stop on two D battery. It would be pretty simple to buy a cooler and install one yourself for half the price.
