If you don't take a wave to the face/chest it doesn't count.

P.s.
Congrats

crazywakeboarder 09-21-2014 12:40 PM

Congrats!

Is that a 2015 outback?

FISH11 09-21-2014 01:57 PM

Congrats on popping that Yellow cherry!

Thanks y'all... took me 9 months to finally nail an yellow, as I'm skill-less and less persistent than most, had to rely on dumb luck to fall upon me to catch such a magnificent fish!

and just to answer some comments & questions:
- wave to face & chest - definitely! so yes it does count then! :)
- blood on t-shirt / need more blood - should've seen me after carrying that fish to my car, my entire right sleeve is red....
- love to hit more... but i'm not sure what's a coffee grinder? if you mean a conventional reel, then yes... Daiwa BCG40H
- 2015 outback? nope.. it's a 2012 or 2013 that I bought used from a gentleman on BWE, but i put a stadium seat in it instead of std issued seat.

YT are still around, lots of actions yesterday... know at least 1 other kayaker scored YT.... go get them!
:cheers1:

The coffee grinder comment refers to the spinning reel you have up front.

Coffee grinder=spinning reel.

I don't own a single coffee grinder myself.

But I do have a Keurig

Congrats on the fish man! Nice job. I'm sure you paid your dues out there. Don't down-talk your fishing skills. It takes skill to catch yellowtail on a kayak. Take what you learned on the water today, get back out there and kill some more!
