Just picked up a new rod and reel for calico’s which I’ve never targeted and looking for some guys to show me the ropes!! Picked up a Shimano Tranx and Phenix inshore.Attachment 23381

With Surfline predicting 3-5 foot (waist to head high) for Saturday I think channel island harbor is where I will be heading.

Thanks for update. I went out a couple weeks ago in water like that and regretted it. I haven’t had any luck out of CIH.
