Headed out to Newport Harbor this morning. On the water at about 6:45. Got to my spot and started tossing around some big hammers. After about 20 min with no bites I gave in and tied on a 1/4 oz hookup bait in red crab and instantly started getting bites. Switched back to big hammers after a good run with the hookups and ended the day with a hat trick of bass and a mackerel. Great day on the water!

Nice! I need to get some hook up baits as I hear good things about them. I'll wait for FH show next month.. Been dying to fish, stupid frac ribs I think I'm finally good to go this Sunday.
