lowrance elite 5 Ti quesions
 

I have a Elite 5 Ti for couple of month now.
A good unit overall with 2 problems I encountered.

Problem one : Lost of Course extension
This happen to me many times. You set the waypoint to go to. It show the "Distance to Destination" , but not showing the RED line guiding you to the destination. ( !! of course, all Setting was CHECKED correctly !! ).
Heading extension is working still .

So you don't know where to go, only know how far you are away from the waypoint.

Soft reset will not fix it. Hard reset WILL fix it , but you have to reload all the waypoint etc...

Problem two : Wet finger, water drops will make the screen go crazy for a while.
This is understandable.. but never the less a pain in the butt.
Some time I just wish I have a non touch screen unit.


Anyone with some input ?
