Raymarine Dragonfly 5 Pro

I'm new to the community and I'm looking at FF's, I am looking at the Lowrance elite 5 chirp with chart plotter and the Raymarine Dragonfly 5 pro. The Raymarine is significantly cheaper and seems to be a good unit, yet it does not seem too popular in the kayak fishing scene. Planning on fishing LJ mostly and some local lakes up north a bit. Can someone she'd some light on this before I make a decision I regret Haha.

I'd also like to say you guys are awesome and I have already learned all kinds of information from lurking the archives of these forums.

confused by your statement that Dragonfly is significantly cheaper, don't think you can find a 5 under $500 and the 5 Chirp are selling for as little as $400 with the newer models coming out. Dragonfly seems to have just recently got a foot hold on the kayak fishing market and seems to have momentum............10 years ago all the cool cats had Garmin.

Correction Dragonfly 4 pro. $286.00 on amazon if I'm not mistaken.

Ya I have seen that lowrance has dominated the kayak fishing community, I just bought a stealth 12 that also is lowrance transducer ready. So I would have to get creative with the boat of a transducer the Raymarine uses.

I have a DragonFly and love it. I would not get the DragonFly 4, the screen is pretty small.
