Favorite Kayak Accessories

Probably like many of you, I was just sitting here at work thinking about kayak fishing.

Specifically about what I still want to upgrade next. Do I actually need to upgrade anything? Especially since I feel like I already have everything I really need... but what things do still WANT! MORE GEAR!

So just to give me and maybe some of you ideas. I pose this question.

What is your favorite kayak fishing accessory/piece of gear you purchased to date?

I'll start. Mine will probably have to be a rod and reel combo I bought. I get excited just to fish it and cast it. Its a Lexa 300HD Power handle on a 7'6" Shimano Teramar Heavy Fast Action 15-30Lb with 50 lb Braid and 30 lb flouro leader.

I have to second this. the scotty-bubbler is way more practical.

X2, I love my soft sided cooler that can carry a six pack of beer, 1 bottle of water (sometime you just need one), Naaahh, just carry 7 beers with the re-freezable pack and a sandwich. That should just about last a 7 to 12 hour trip out at LJ.

To me the best investment is a quality seat. You're gonna be in it for hours and a sore ass n numb legs make yakking a misery.

2nd, if you have a paddle yak, is a good light carbon paddle. In the shop or on the sand the difference in weight between a great paddle and a decent paddle doesn't feel like much. But after hours of paddling you'll really notice. Mike

Those glasses are awesome and only $99 on sale now. Dirty Curti nice video, hope to see YOU in paradise or atleast on the DARK SIDE. An OUTBACK from OEX Sunset Beach SHOULD be your favorite kayak ACCESSORY.
