+1 This is why I am going to stay relatively close to shore and going to call it a day early.

I'll be out there as early as I can be. Look for a red adventure island. I'll likely be monitoring 68 if you want to catch me on the radio. I'm more than open to people joining me, and if you have a radio we can help eachother out a bit.

I missed Saturday's adventure but made it out for a PM session today. OTW at noonish off by fiveish, wind picked up, got a little choppy, seemed like 4'-5' swells, wind and chop calmed down a bit after 3 or so. Was only paddling 0.5 mph heading north into the wind so I didn't try to make it to the headlands. Bait wasn't easy but it's there. Picked up a few lone greenbacks outside the harbor mouth then ran into a two small schools and pulled up maxed out sabikis to fill my tank with 8"+ sized macs. Didn't want to get stuck downwind so I just flylined a few for a mile or so outside the green buoy. Ended up with two sunburnt legs  even with sunscreen. Might try again tomorrow, but heard it's been slow here for about a week.

Oh yea, reminder to leash your gear. Ran into a guy that lost all his stuff on his first outing. Rough start to the addiction.
